Back to Menu.Main Class Summary

Availability
Windows

Usage
mdm.Menu.Main.menuType:String

Parameters
None

Returns
None

Description
Sets the method to use with the main menu.

The menuType must be either "function", "variable" or "frame".

When "function" is set, the Menu.Main.onMenuClick_* event is fired.

When "variable" is set, a variable of the same name (with the prefix "menu_") is created which is set to "true" when clicked. For example, the menu item "Open", when clicked would set the the variable "menu_Open" to "true".

When "frame" is set, the File menu Item(s) will move the playhead to a frame label of the same name within your movie.

Notes
Write-Only

This property is "function" by default.

If "variable" is selected as the handler method, the developer must reset the value to "false" after a "true" value has been returned.

This menu type is not supported in transparent Forms.

Example Code
mdm.Menu.Main.menuType = "function";

What if I have spaces within my menu item label? Spaces are not allowed as either function nor variable names.
