Back to Video Class Summary

Availability
Windows, Mac OSX, Linux

Usage
videoInstance.close():void

Parameters
None

Returns
Nothing

Description
Use this method to cleanup your video object and to release resources to system. If you are using more then one player instance this method should be used to minimize volume of memory taken by application to playback content. If you are using single player instance calling that method will destruct your player so it cannot be longer used in your code and can be garbage collected - then you could reuse reference to create new video player instance

Notes
None

Example Code
// when there is a time to cleanup content
if(myPlayer)
{
myPlayer.close();
myPlayer = null;
};
// now player resources would be released back to system
// and it is now safe to reuse variable for other instance
myPlayer = new mdm.Video(xPositionStr, yPositionStr, widthStr, heightStr, path);
