Back to AppleScript Class Summary

The AppleScript Class has been deprecated in Zinc 4.0. It is included for legacy support but is no longer maintained and maybe removed completely in a future 4.x update.

Availability
Mac OSX

Usage
mdm.AppleScript.run():Boolean

Parameters
None

Returns
A Boolean

Description
Runs the previously set and compiled AppleScript. Returns boolean indication whether or not the script has executed successfully. If there was any error during script execution the method will return true - otherwise false. You could query for error details using mdm.AppleScript.getLastError();

Notes
If a return value is expected, use AppleScript.getResult() to retrieve it.

If an error occurs during execution, use AppleScript.getLastError() to the return the details of the error.

Example Code
var hasError:Boolean = mdm.AppleScript.run();
if(hasError == true)
{
// handle error for example get details about error
} else
{
};
