Bug Report #ZNC-1653DE
Verified on 04 March 2010
"Application Name" cannot contain non-ASCII characters
Reported By Staff Member
This issue is Pending and is marked as a Medium priority.

Zinc 3.0 > Mac OSX > IDE > 3.0.18 > Non-Functioning
Description
Entering other then ASCII based characters into "Application Name" property in ZINC Builder on OS X results in:
ERROR: Binding Data to Projector
build error and no native application is produced. After "Application Name" is changed to contain ASCII based characters build process produces native application without problem.

Note that compiling the same application but using Windows version of ZINC Builder compiles OS X native application but it crash at runtime when started.

The unicode based characters can be used in other places related to application e.g. in "Description", "Product name", "Form Name" without a problem.

Compiled native application filename can be changed manually as work around. However that won't change application name displayed in "About ..." OS X buit-in menu item

To repeat:
- use OS X version of ZINC Builder
- open provided example project
- try to build native executable
