Bug Report #ZNC-8649MJ
Verified on 11 December 2009
Windows created .zinc project file can result in corrupt output Projectors on Mac OSX
Reported By Staff Member
This issue is Pending and is marked as a Medium priority.

Zinc 3.0 > Mac OSX > IDE > 3.0.16 > Incorrectly Functioning
Description
When using Windows created .zinc project opened with OS X version of ZINC Builder following could occur:
#1
the project opens without issue
#2
once build option is chosen build process starts
#3
the output log windows shows:
"Building Started on .....
Packing Command Modules... done
Generating Projector Base... done"
and finish build at this point without creating native (.app) application
#4
if user switches to output folder she/he would find {APP_NAME}.zip file in it. Once unarchived it contains "mdm_flash_player" executable (native OS X application) which if clicked would immadiatly crash with crash report:

Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000000000000000
Crashed Thread: 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread

Thread 0 Crashed: Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread
0 com.mdm.mdm_flash_player 0x0000e92c CProjector::GetFormCreateMask(int) const + 28
1 com.mdm.mdm_flash_player 0x000144ce -[MyWindow doInit:styleMask:backing:defer:formId:] + 88
2 com.mdm.mdm_flash_player 0x00014404 -[MyWindow initWithContentRect:styleMask:backing:defer:] + 108

To work around issue:
#1
open Windows created project file in ZINC Builder
#2
- reselect referenced sources (e.g. source flash movie) so project settings are refreshed
- reselect used modules (extensions)
- save project (e.g. as copy)
#3
build project as usually

To recreate try to compile provided Windows saved project using "Launch Project When Complete" option (which is selected by default).
