Xcode Project ZineEngine.dylib ‘Invalid Signature’ Solution
Mac App Store Submission Guidelines continue to be a moving target with stealth updates and not very well documented changes occurring all the time. In fact, we’re currently finishing up some updates to the Xcode Project Functionality in Zinc 4.0 to address some recent changes in the Submission Guidelines (Build 4.0.3 with these changes included will be available this week is available right now.).
In the meantime, some users who have successfully submitted Zinc 4.0 Compiled Apps to the Mac App Store have received emails with the following notice:
[AppName].app/Contents/Resources/ZincEngine.dylib is not signed, the signature is invalid, or it is not signed with an Apple submission certificate
Ofcourse, the ZincEngine.dylib is quite important to Zinc 4.0 Compiled Apps so we wanted to make sure users who receive the above notcie take the necessary steps to ensure they sign the dylib with their Developer Certificate.
We’ve put together a brief Technote which describes the steps required to do this; Following these steps will successfully sign the ZincEngine.dylib with your Developer Certificate.
